Cory’s Kitchen has been helping those in need for over 20 years. In July of 2001, Cory’s Kitchen incorporated as a non-profit, charitable organization (501(c)3) called Cory’s Kitchen, Inc. They have a core group of about 200 volunteers including counselors, food handlers, typists, data entry operators, and drivers. Additionally, the local Christian College (Azusa Pacific University), local high schools, and several local churches supply a steady stream of new volunteers each week to help them with their task.
Cory’s Kitchen provides emergency food to families in need. They help their neighbors with food, diapers, and toiletries to help prevent homelessness. They also help their homeless neighbor Monday- Wednesday and Friday with fresh fruits, veggies, and sandwiches.
Cory’s Kitchen clients receive more than food. Counselors assess their needs and refer them to jobs and other services, such as: continued education, clothing services, legal services and counseling.
They partner with YMCA to provide food for the high school events in the summer. They also help other organizations with school supplies and other items.
