Acrylatex Coatings and Recycling Inc. is a California Certified Latex Paint Recycling Facility. Founded in May of 2008, it is the only paint recycling center in Los Angeles County, and one of only two recycling centers in Southern California. Clients include the State of California, LA County, Cal Trans, LAX, the City of Covina, and many other cities in the Los Angeles region.
Acrylatex recycles approximately 350,000 gallons of paint per year and processes over 1 million containers per year, recycling all the metal and plastic in those containers. Acrylatex produces recycled paint, asphalt sealer, and a unique “Soft Rock” ground cover from the paint it collects.
Acrylatex has been featured on the television’s “Curiosity Quest,” “LA’s Best Buys,” and Channel 9’s “Business and Consumer Reporter.”
Acrylatex has donated paint to many non-profit and charitable organizations, including Neighborhood Homework House in Azusa and an organization building houses for the poor in Mexico. Additionally, Acrylatex operates the “Coat of Many Colors” program, which provides paint at a reduced cost to local churches for use and for fundraisers.
