Business Accomplishments
Kare Youth League was founded in 1931 and has served well over 40,000 boys and girls since that time. They have built three activity centers for youth in Arcadia, Covina and Upland. A fourth center is being built in Irwindale and is due to be completed in late 2015. Many of Kare Youth League alumni have chosen service occupations like teacher, firefighter, policeman and social worker. Among others, Kare Youth League is very proud of one former member who is currently the Fire Chief for San Bernardino County, another one who was a member of an elite counter-terrorism group in the FBI and another who served as Director of Fact Checking in the White House speech department. On annual surveys, parents give Kare Youth League’s program high ratings for helping their sons and daughters improve in character issues like showing respect, teamwork, honesty, and loyalty.
